HOW IT WORKS
The AeroGarden is an advanced growing system that works with small pods. These small pods have seeds inside them. You just add water, light, and fertilizer to the pods and the seeds will slowly start sprouting with the heat that comes from the LED bulbs. SEED PODS
The AeroGarden Bounty Basic is the smallest model in their lineup and comes with 9 pod slots. These pod slots are spaced apart allowing enough space for the growth of your herbs and vegetables. The seed pods are basically just peat pods with a plastic top over them.
The plastic top is there to provide humidity to your seeds for the germination period. Once your seedlings have sprouted, you can remove the plastic top and paper cover that is covering your seedling. This will allow your plants more room to grow.
LED LIGHTS
The AeroGarden Bounty Basic comes with 45-watt LED-type bulbs. These bulbs are more energy-efficient and longer lasting than traditional fluorescent bulbs.
The state-of-the-art LED bulbs change colors as well. The bulbs give a perfect light spectrum for fast growth. This feature mimics the effects of sunlight.

As your plants grow you will need to adjust the lighting. The LED lighting system has an adjustable arm that you can slide and extend to accommodate plants from 4″ — 24″ in height.
